Baby Care: -what to Do After the Baby Teeth Erupt?

Many people are not aware that prevention of dental diseases can be started as soon as a child is born. From the seventh to the ninth (last) months of pregnancy, the primary baby teeth are just about to be fully formed in the bone. Development of permanent teeth begins at birth.

Even before the teeth show, it is possible, and in fact recommended, that an infant’s mouth to be cleaned. Lightly dab the gum pads in a baby’s mouth with a clean damp, soft cloth. For more details go to: www.baby-care-book.com this will decrease the germs that form in the mouth, and begin the healthy practice of dental care.

An infant is also recommended to have a dental check-up in as early as 12 months of age. Pediatric dentists suggest that a baby’s first dental visit should be before all 20 primary teeth have completely erupted. This first visit is for a complete exam and evaluation. It is also for parents to be educated with proper dental care for infants at home, and the recommended diet proper use of toothbrushes and fluoride for infants.

Once the teething starts and first tooth erupts, which occurs about as early as six months, others follow until all 20 baby teeth are in. During teething, a lot of babies experience discomfort that is seen when they become irritable, drool a lot, suck on their toys, blankets, or fingers, and lose their appetite. When a baby gets a fever, diarrhea, or flu-like symptoms, it is best to consult a pediatrician. Hard, cool teething toys and frequent drinks of water can ease the teething discomfort.

Gateway Mx6128 Laptop Review

This portable Gateway MX6128 laptop notebook is the taste of so many people, when it comes to Gateway laptops.

Actually, this laptop has some fascinating features, although people who have used Gateway, complains of too bad customer service when your laptop develops a fault. They may sound nice when you want to purchase, but as soon as it gets bad, trust me, they change, and become negligent, and aggresive with customers. I have had quite a number of friends who have been in a similar situation, whereby they need Gateway to help them replace a particular hardware, or accessories, but they don’t respond to such requests. Anyway, after buying your Gateway MX6128 laptop, just pray that no fault develops, but can that really happen?

Some of its wonderful features includes is Intel Celeron M (1.5 GHz) processor, which is a fast speed processor, and its RAM of 256 MB DDR II SDRAM. It is quite low, but good enough for students who just needs it to communicate with friends, and do school home work. It also possesses a 60 GB hard disk drive, which is good enough for students to keep their multimedia files, home work, and also use it for watching DVD movies.

The Gateway MX6128 laptop comes as a light weight laptop notebook of about 6.2 lbs. This is way too ok for you to transport by just putting it into your school bag. Amazinly, you will also enjoy its 15.4 TFT active matrix display screen. It really looks nice when it is viewed from a distance.

However, those disappointing effects are not so much. When the laptop is viewed from a close range, it usually affects the sight. It happened to me for some time, until i realized it was the screen display, but don’t worry, you will get used to it.

So many multimedia, and entertainment features are not included, so you might want to take a look at another laptop notebook around the store. Features that are not good enough includes its low RAM size, and its low hard disk drive space. It make this laptop useless for an average worker who wants to do a lot of programming, coupled with wanting some security features.

But apart from all these, i think i can purchase this laptop for my 8 years old sister, so she can play a few hands on it, as she grows up.

5 Financial Tips For College Students

If you are a college student, you are probably concentrating on your studies and trying to get an education that will benefit you in the future. One thing that you may not be thinking about is how to handle your money, and failing to do so can leave you in a pretty big financial mess by the time you are out of college. It is important that you take control of your finances now if you want your financial future to be bright. The following are some tips that can help you with your finances to avoid any college financial disasters.

Tip #1 – Only Use Credit Cards in Emergencies – Once you get a credit card it can be all to easy to start racking up the credit card debt. This is a bad way to start out and you will probably end up with bad credit if you are using credit cards all of the time. Remember, the money you spend on credit cards will need to be repaid. It is best if you save your credit card for emergencies instead of buying that new pair of shoes or paying for an evening out.

Tip #2 – Pay Off the Balance Every Month – It is also important that you pay off your balance each month if you have a credit card. Leaving a balance on the card can result in you paying extra money on interest, so you will save money if you pay off the balance every month. This will also keep you from getting in credit card debt over your head as well.

Tip #3 – Pay Bills on Time – Now is the time to start building your credit history, and you can do this by always paying your bills on time. If you fail to pay your bills on time, it can get quite expensive. Many companies will charge late fees if you do not pay on time and your interest rates may go up as well, costing you even more money for being late.

Tip #4 – Start Saving Now – Many college students do not realize how important saving really is, but if you can start saving while you are in college, you can reap from great benefits when you are older. Saving now will get you in the habit of saving, you will earn money from the money you save, and you will have extra money set aside in case of any emergencies as well.

Tip #5 – Look for the Best Checking Account – You can actually save a great deal of money if you look around and find the best checking account. Look for an account that has no fee for starting an account and no minimum balance. You may also want to check into any debit card fees, and fees for deposits of withdrawals. Some banks will actually offer totally free checking for college students, so take advantage of this and you can save a great deal of money every year.

Prophets and Peaceniks

On March 22, 2006 I was back in Jerusalem and once again visited with Jeff Halper, a 2006 Noble Peace Prize nominee in his ICAHD office. Jeff is an American Israeli and the Founder and Coordinator of ICAHD/Israeli Committee on House Demolitions.

I sought his advice that day after reading his new book “Obstacles to Peace: A Reframing of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict.”

I was encouraged by what he wrote because a part of the issue of reframing the Israeli Palestinian conflict is what I have been trying to do by focusing on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was ratified by Israel in 1948 and was contingent upon its becoming a state.

Jeff told me that “Israel has no constitution but has a Declaration of Independence which promised that Israel would abide by conditions and UN resolutions. They have not fulfilled the agreement which was the basis of their independence.”

The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel was signed May 14, 1948 the day the British Mandate over Palestine expired. The USA recognized Israel that very night and the USSR three days later. The Declaration affirms that the state of Israel “will be based on freedom, justice, and peace as envisioned by the prophets of Israel: it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion…and will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, education and culture: it will safeguard the Holy places of all religions, and it will be faithful to the principals of the Charter of the United Nations.”

Jeff has consistently stated that, “Israel is a not a theocracy but is an Ethnocracy, meaning a country run and controlled by a national group with some democratic elements but set up with Jews in control and structured to keep them in control. The other day someone mentioned to me that all elections are bullshit everywhere and if the people in power actually thought elections would change things, they would eliminate them!

“One out of three Israeli children live below the poverty line. It’s probably about 80% for Palestinians. Jews are like everyone else, those who have been abused grow up to be abusers. Things here have been turned on their head: its victim mentality and denial about the occupation. Once Israelis accept the fact that they are occupiers they will have to admit their State Terrorism.”

“Christian Fundamentalism is a big problem. John Hagee and Falwell have established Christians United for Israel and they are the Christian AIPAC. There’s a big meeting happening in D.C. which Israel supports with big money. They are the ones you need to interact with.”

We conversed on how I should go about this and then I ask Jeff to look into the future and he responded, “I think things will blow before people will wake up about the injustice which is just not sustainable. That is the hopeful part about this conflict; it will end, for injustice is unsustainable.”

After I left Jeff I walked down to the Zionist International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem which is a group of fundamentalists who financially support Israel’s policy of Aliyah: the immigration and absorption of Jews. I hoped to ask them about supporting the UN Resolution affirming the right of return to Palestinian refugees but no one was available to speak to me. I left my card and hoped someone there would read the WAWA blog and interact with me. So far, no takers.

Every right thinking Christian understands that Christian Zionism is a modern theological and political movement that embraces the most extreme ideological positions of Zionism which is detrimental to a just peace within Israel Palestine. These fundamentalists share a worldview that preaches a gospel identified with the ideology of empire, colonialism and militarism. This is not the Gospel Christ preached, for he taught we must love, forgive, do good to all and it is the peacemakers who are the children of God.

After all, who would Jesus bomb? Nobody!

Christian Zionists emphasize-and hope/pray for- apocalyptic event that will lead to the end of history and they totally ignore Christ’s love and compassion for all. Their theology is the fastest growing cult in America, partly because mainline churches have remained silent about the forty year occupation of Palestine.

Sabeel, the Jerusalem based and rapidly spreading international movement promotes a theology of liberation and denounces oppression and occupation. The following is excerpted from “Challenging Christian Zionism” which was compiled after their 5th International Conference.

“We categorically reject Christian Zionist doctrines as false teachings that undermine the biblical message of love, justice and mercy. We further reject the contemporary alliance of Christian Zionist leaders and organizations with extremist elements in the governments of Israel and the United States that are presently seeking to impose their unilateral preemptive strategies and militaristic rule over others, including Palestine and Iraq. As a result of the April 14, 2004 Bush-Sharon memorandum of understanding, the crisis in Israel and Palestine has moved into a new phase of oppression of the Palestinian people. This will inevitably lead to unending cycles of violence and counter violence that are already spreading throughout the Middle East and other parts of the world. We reject the heretical teachings of Christian Zionism that facilitate and support these extremist policies as they advance a form of radical exclusivity and perpetual war rather than the gospel of love, redemption and reconciliation taught by Jesus Christ.

“Rather than condemn the world to the doom of Armageddon we call upon everyone to liberate themselves from ideologies of militarism and occupation and instead to pursue the healing of the world. We call upon the Christians in churches on every continent to prayerfully remember the suffering of the Palestinian and Israeli people, both of whom are victims of occupation and militarism. The recent construction of the Israeli wall on Palestinian land precludes a viable Palestinian state.

“Therefore, we commit ourselves to the following principals as an alternative way: we affirm that all people are created in the image of God and called to honor the dignity and respect the equal rights of every human being.

“We call upon people of good will everywhere to reject the theology of Christian Zionism and all parallel religious and ideological fundamentalisms that privilege a particular people at the expense of others.

“We are committed to the power of non-violent resistance to defeat the occupation and attain a just and lasting peace.

“With renewed urgency we warn that the theology of Christian Zionism is leading to the moral justification of empire, colonization, apartheid and oppression.

“The ideal and best solution has always been to envisage ultimately a bi-national state in Palestine-Israel where people are free and equal, living under a constitutional democracy that protects and guarantees all their rights, responsibilities and duties without racism or discrimination-one state for two nations and three religions.

“Justice alone guarantees a peace that will lead to reconciliation and a life of security and prosperity for all the peoples of the land. Working for peace makes us children of God.- April 18, 2004 statement from the 5th International Sabeel Conference “Challenging Christian Zionism”

This reporter returns to the Occupied Palestinian Territories November 1-13, 2006 to report on Sabeel’s 6th International Conference: The Forgotten Faithful, who are the Palestinian Christians.
