HP Touchsmart Tx2 Laptop Review
Follow me on twitter twitter.com My review of the HP Touchsmart TX2-1270, not 1070. Sry for any confusion, it’s just different model numbers, not a big deal. People complain about the heat and noise. The newer model has far less heat and noise even with high power. I can put in on my lap. Unfortunately, I had to trade it my old one (wireless broke). The new one is faster, much cooler (less heat) and it doesn’t sound like a blow dryer. I’m glad my wireless card broke and I got a new one. Bad thing about the new version. It’s more cheaply made. They made the finger print reader smaller and the batterpack doesn’t fit as well and wiggles slightly. But then again, it might be the battery that is cheaply made. But if you put a cushion in between, that should help. Other than that, the new one is better. I can finally put it on my lap without getting burned! Click to watch Touchpack demo www.youtube.com
What to get, what to get: HP TouchSmart TX2 or HP TouchSmart TM2T??? HELP!!!
@EliScorch Actually compared to the best TX2 its slightly faster then the AMD turions. My TX2 runs fine and doesn’t overheat just make sure you aren’t blocking any important vents.
nice wallpaper!! lol i love that drama.
anyways, nice laptop. i wish i waited instead of gettin the tx.
@djdevil009 yes, it’s capacitive. The pen is a digitizer. You can’t use anything other than your fingers and the given pen. The screen is glass, not the soft plastic one.
i dont think its capacitive…if it were it would not work with pen….only fingers…what do u guys think>???
@djdevil009 it’s capacitive like the ipod touch.
is the touch screen RESISTIVE or CAPACITIVE????
Tell me about it! Mine has crashed over 40 times because of overheating!
Get the tm2. It doesn’t overheat, and even though it has a ULV C2D, it actually runs faster than this one.
I want this laptop
I agree I got myself a cooling fan for it when ever I go into high performance mode.
I rarely do the spinning picture thing too lol – but I do use it a lot with the pen.
I turned off my ‘touch’ feature, it got annoying after a while.
Besides, I use my TX2 for drawing, not spinning/enlarging pictures ^.^
@tresdizz
I have one that I use for drawing. Its weird, sometimes it’ll render just fine- then some times it lags. Maybe its just mine. Another thing, GET A CHILL MAT. This thing gets pretty hot real quick.
@Tresdizz – touch software is N-trig
@cyreneq tell me the name of that pen pressure program again, and turn your mike up. 4****
@cyreneq can it handle large rendering files of adobe after effects pretty fast and good? mine is on the way tues. also are you demoing on vista or 7?
Do ur research. I’m not really an hp commissioned salesperson. =P Which ever would meet your needs.
should i get this or the hp hdx16t??? help please

Wait for the Apple’s new creation. The other choice is Dell Latitude XT2.Happy hunting
